| November 2005 - The Redstone team has concluded another successful workplace campaign, with a donation of $6,700 to the United Way of Chittenden County. Redstone has maintained a very high participation rate over the years for a small size company. As additional incentive to employees, Redstone principals Doug Nedde and Larry Williams have continued the tradition of maximizing each employee's gift by matching it dollar for dollar. Many of the people who work at Redstone are directly involved with community organizations that benefit from the allocations of the United Way. | September 2005 - Vermont Governor Jim Douglas joined Bolton Valley Resort President Bob Fries and partners Doug Nedde and Larry Williams at a groundbreaking ceremony on August 31st for the resort’s new Vista Bowl Project. The project will feature the installation of a four-person chairlift that will take skiers and riders from the base area to the upper reaches of 3,150’ Ricker Peak for access to new trails and open glades with plenty of powder, adventure, long top-to-bottom cruising runs, and expanded night skiing. A $650,000 Community Development Grant made available by The Town of Bolton will partially fund the construction. Doug Nedde and Larry Williams are co-owners in M.O.D., LLC since June 2004, and have helped the four-season resort implement a master plan involving real estate development and recapitalization plans for improvements. | August 2005 - Doug Nedde and Larry Williams of Redstone, in partnership with Eric Farrell of Farrell Real Estate, purchased the historic Armory building located at 101 Main Street in Downtown Burlington, VT from Cart Before The Horse, LLC. This two-story, fortress-like building was constructed as an armory in the fall of 1904 by ex-governor Urban A. Woodbury for lease to the Vermont National Guard. When not in use by the Guard, the facility also served as a roller skating rink and exhibition hall, even hosting Vermont's first automobile show in 1911. After the Guard gave up its use of the building in 1919, it housed various businesses, including the Burlington Motor Sales Company, Riverside Paper Company and more recently, Kencliff Construction and A. M. Peisch & Company Accountants. It has also been home to entertainment venues, including the Hunt Mill & Mining Company and Sha-Na-Na's. | January 2005 - Doug Nedde and Larry Williams of Redstone, in partnership with Peter Richardson of Housing Strategies, Inc., have purchased the Shelburne Inn and Motel located in Shelburne Village. The property was purchased from Steve Smith and family of the Shelburne Inn Corporation. The Shelburne Inn, which dates back to 1796, is on the National Historic Register. The new owners plan to restore and preserve this underutilized building, possibly with a tavern/restaurant or retail spaces on the first floor and offices or apartments on the upper floors.
